Biography
The sculptor George Roussis, was born at the Marina Zeas in Piraeus Greece.
Studied at the School of Fine Arts (ASKT of Athens) and graduated from the BOZAR School of Decorators.
Has produced many works of art, such as busts, statues, monuments, both modern and classical in style, made of brass or marble.
These works of art can be found all around Greece and abroad, at private as well as public collections.
A regular member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and the Greek Sculptors Association. Has served as a board member at the Company of Literature & Arts of Piraeus, a board member of the UNESCO of Greece and a board member of the Agency for the Collective Management of Works of Art of Visual Arts and Applications (OSDEETE)
Was awarded by the Bank of Greece for the production of the coin series EURO and has received the Golden Award for the Piraeus Lion (Porto Leone).
Has participated in numerous group expositions as well as symposiums and carried out many individual shows in Greece and around the world.
